(1.) Friday morning, at 10:00 am we will celebrate Royal Hours for the Nativity of Christ. As a reminder, the Royal Hours provide a beautiful preparation for Christmas, and are in fact part of the celebration cycle. As the name Royal Hours suggests, on Friday the services of 1st, 3rd, 6th and 9th Hours will be greatly expanded, adding Old Testament Prophecies, Prokeimena, Epistle and Gospel Readings, as well as Liturgical hymns, all of which point to and celebrate the event of our Lord's Birth. Royal Hours are a beautiful and solemn means by which much of Sacred Tradition regarding the Birth of Christ is imparted unto us. The Hours will begin at 10:00 am and will conclude at approximately 11:15 am.
